Argonne Leadership Computing Facility Applications Performance and Site Update

Ray Loy, ALCF

The Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's effort to provide leadership-class computing resources to the scientific community. ALCF's resources include a 557 teraflop IBM Blue Gene/P. Through the Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment Program (INCITE), millions of processor hours annually are awarded to researchers worldwide. This presentation will provide a survey of recent applications performance accomplishments from a variety of scientific disciplines. In addition, an update will be given on ALCF-2, the anticipated upgrade to the next generation Blue Gene platform
